Who does the work: LI Bulkhead Pros is a referral service, not a contractor. Your job is quoted and performed by an independent, licensed and insured Long Island marine contractor, not by LI Bulkhead Pros.
We're upfront about this because it matters: we are not a marine contractor and don't have crews, barges or a yard. When you send a request, it goes to an independent Long Island marine contractor who covers your area. You get the quote from them, you decide, and you pay them directly. There's no charge to you for using this site.
What we require of contractors
- A current Nassau or Suffolk County home improvement license, plus town licenses where required (for example, Southold's coastal contractor license).
- General liability and workers' compensation insurance.
- Written, itemized quotes that say who's responsible for permits. See what a complete quote includes.
- Milestone-based payment schedules, not big deposits months before permits can be issued.

- Prices are ranges, not quotes. They come from published 2026 data, cited on each page, and will be refined with real job data from our contractor partners.
